When you buy a flag, you can choose to have the pole set included or not. However, the pole sets offered for our different flags differ from one another. Because each flag type is not interchangeable across pole sets, please check the product page for more details on the specific flag.

Our business flags come with a ground stake. For those who prefer more versatile bases, we offer cross bases and square bases. The cross base can be placed in the ground and serves as an anchor for the flag, which can be flown indoors or out. If a water bag is attached to the base, it will float in water.

Flags should not be used in inclement weather and should be stored in a safe place during non-use. Where you store your flag depends on several factors, including the type of flag you have and how much space you have available. The best place for storage is a cool dry room and a location that doesn’t have sharp edges or won’t result in the flag being tossed around and thereby creating situations where it may come in contact with sharp edges or objects that would damage the flag in any way. For specific care differences please refer to the different flag product pages as outlined above.

We offer a variety of flag options, including square, rectangle and triangle shapes and sizes. Further, you can choose from our library of templates or upload your design to create a unique custom flag. Yes, you can purchase multiple flag types with the same design. However, because the shape of each flag varies slightly, the design will need to be adjusted for each shape. In order to get the design on multiple flag types, upload your logo or artwork to the design tool for each flag type.

Certainly! Although these flags are most commonly used for business and advertising purposes, they can also be used for personal or residential use including block or neighborhood parties, races, charity events, yard sales and more.

For larger events, we can provide additional hands to help assemble your flags more quickly. However, all of our flag sets are easily assembled by one person in a matter of minutes.
Please note that ground stake installations may require a rubber mallet, especially if the surface is harder. Further, the cross base with water bag will of course require access to a water source in order to fill it and use it correctly to weigh your flag down. Lastly, as a pro tip from a company that has set up a flag or two, for the push buttons on rectangular flags, often an object such as a butter knife or key can help avoid pinched fingers by pressing down spring loaded snap buttons connecting two poles.

All of our flags can be printed on both sides (single-sided), or one side (double-sided). For single-sided flags, on one side of the fabric the design is printed through, meaning your design will be visible from that side but will be mirrored.

For double-sided flags, we can print either the same design on both sides or a different one on each side (depending on your design). Neither of these designs will be visible through the polyester due to a liner between the front and back sides. You do not need to worry about designs conflicting with each other if you choose this option. To upload files for double sided signs, select “Back Side” in the Design Tool when uploading your files.

Like most other printed signs, your flag will eventually fade when exposed to extended sunlight. The length of time it takes for fading to occur will depend on the climate where you live, how much exposure your sign has to sunlight, and other environmental factors. To prevent fading, store your flag between uses. However, even if you do not take this precaution, you shouldn’t expect any visible fading in the short term as long as your flag has been printed correctly and is not damaged by other factors such as pests or rough handling.

Our custom flags are designed for both indoor and outdoor use and can withstand rain. To clean them after they get wet, simply wash them or let them air dry. However, when severe weather occurs, we recommend that you take down your flag and store it until the weather clears up. Failing to do so can result in permanent damage to your flag and pole set.

Provided that you follow the correct care and maintenance guidelines, your flags will last for 2 or more years. This assumes that your flags are not exposed to severe weather conditions, which can permanently damage them.

Poles for outdoor flags are available in fiberglass (angled, teardrop or feather) and aluminum (rectangle) for strength and durability.

All of our flags are made from 4 oz. polyester. Polyester is a great material for flags because it is strong, durable and lightweight when compared to other similar materials used for flags. This makes it ideal for long-term use, such as by businesses or organizations that fly their flag frequently. Printed on polyester, our flags offer crisp and vibrant colors that will not fade over time.

We recommend not using flags in very windy situations. In order to prevent the flag from blowing away, use a ground stake or cross base with a water bag to anchor the flag while in use. We recommend taking down your flag in extreme weather conditions.

The answer to this question can be quite complex. If you are going to do it correctly, there are a number of factors that factor in car speed, number of lanes, reaction time of the driver, and much more. For our purposes today, there are a few factors that you should consider when making your sign legible from a distance: the distance from the road and lettering height, size of the flag and design of your flag. Let’s tackle each of these individually.

For most businesses, it is safe to assume that a roadside flag will be within 10 to 40 feet of vehicle passersby. Some rules of thumb suggest that lettering on a flag should be 1 inch tall for every 10 feet of distance from the viewer. Others recommend lettering heights anywhere from 4 to 10 inches high for distances ranging from 10 feet to 40 feet. Thus, if your flag is within 20 or 30 feet of the road and your lettering measures 3 inches or 6 inches high, you should be safe in terms of legibility. The next factor is the size of the flag itself. The importance of this factor is because larger flags have more space on which to display letters at appropriate sizes. If in doubt about the size of flag you need, larger flags are preferable to smaller ones.

The design of your flag impacts its legibility in at least two ways. First, the font type or appearance of the font you choose to use can affect it’s legibility; we recommend easy-to-read fonts in all cases. The second consideration is contrast. Contrasting colors between text and flag color will significantly increase its legibility; for example, black and yellow are known to be some of the most contrasting colors whereas a pink font on a red flag is going to be harder to read.

For each of our three flag types, there are three measurements that come into play: display height, flag height and printable area. The display height is the largest of the three sizes. This is the height commonly used when discussing the flags in general. For example, if you purchase a 15′ rectangle flag, this height includes the total size of the flag plus the base height. Because bases differ, this height will not be exactly as stated. This is the case with any type of advertising or business flag purchased from any company. However, the display height will not differ significantly from what is listed on our website.

Flag height and flag size are two different things. Flag height is the actual size of the flag, while flag size is a measurement of the fabric that makes up your flag. The last size is the printable area. This is typically just slightly smaller than the flag size as this ensures that no text or designs will be too close to the edges of your flags and so will not be cut off during printing. Some people call this the “safe zone”. If this size is seen at all on our website it will be on the design tool. Otherwise, we’ve accounted for this smaller printable area size and you don’t need to worry about this one.

Yes! The graphic accurately shows the flag sizes and heights. These flags were made to be displayed on a large scale.

Rectangle flags have the largest available print area per unit length, while teardrop flags have the least. Both feather and angle flags have similar printing areas; choosing between the two is largely a matter of aesthetics.

To make the best print possible, we accept vector files in AI, EPS, PS or PDF. We also accept JPEG, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF and TIF. Our design tool has a maximum upload of 25 MB. If your file is bigger than 25 MB please use a lower resolution image while placing your order and then upload your higher resolution image through email. During this process you can leave a note in the “Customer Comments” field on the checkout page indicating you will be uploading a bigger file. Further, please indicate your order number when visiting eds.ae to send us your bigger file. By following this process you can complete your order now and we’ll make sure your flag uses your higher resolution file for a beautifully printed flag! To maintain a high quality print for your flag we recommend a minimum resolution of 100dpi for your file uploads.
